At Central Park Early Learning Centre, we believe that healthy bodies create healthy minds. All our meals are prepared onsite by our Centre Chef and use natural ingredients with a strong focus on nutrition.

The children help us to grow vegetables in our Vege garden all year round. If not eaten fresh off the plant our homegrown vegetables (the deal is that if the children pick it, they must taste it) are used in our cooking.
Every day our Cook provides a fresh hot lunch along with morning and afternoon tea. Children that attend the Centre at the end of the day are also provided with a late snack consisting of crackers and fruit. Fresh fruit is provided every day. We can also provide for special dietary requirements such as vegetarian options, food allergies and cultural considerations.

Our menu changes with the seasons. Children are welcome to provide their own lunchboxes if they wish. We actively encourage that packed lunches are healthy.

We provide respectful mealtimes where children must wash their hands before and after eating, sit down at the table alongside their Teachers while eating, and clean any leftovers off their plates before returning to play. Water is served at mealtimes and is freely available to the older children from a water dispenser located in the Ruru room. Eating is closely supervised. We ensure that we make mealtimes an enjoyable experience.

It makes us happy to ensure that while at the Centre your child is kept happy and healthy, with a full tummy, and ready to learn and play.
