Our Philosophy

  • Our Philosophy Te Kaupapa

At Central Park Early Learning Centre, we recognise each child’s unique potential. A child is a treasure, to be nurtured, to grow, to flourish.

We give all children the tools for life-long learning and believe that all children are capable of becoming competent, confident learners.

We value the partnership between teachers, whanau, and the wider community in providing a holistic approach to the education and development of children.

  • At Central Park Early Learning Centre the staff create a warm, caring, nurturing, respectful environment for children and whanau to ensure they have a sense of belonging within our centre world.

We believe that children should be offered rich learning experiences through a quality curriculum. Our curriculum and daily routine is guided by Te Whãriki and the principle within The Treaty of Waitangi. We acknowledge that every child has a culture, a story, and an identity of their own and we ensure that they are provided with equitable opportunities to learn.

We encourage children to connect to the world, develop their own well-being and become active learners and efficient communicators. We believe children learn through play, intentional teaching, a stimulating environment and with positive encouragement and support from teachers and whanau.

  • At Central Park Early Learning Centre we encourage children to take the lead in their learning and allow active exploration and encourage them to contribute their own thoughts and ideas.

Every child is gifted, they just unwrap their potential at different times.
